Patient Meal Choices

Patient Meal Choices allows patients staying in hospital to make their meal choices for the upcoming days. The app begins with a login screen that allows users to scan a QR code identifying their NHS number or hospital bed. Once the user has logged in they are presented with a list of days for which they need to choose meals and they can select each day to make their choices. The user can select from a list of options for each course on the chosen day. Only meals that meet the individual's dietary requirements will be shown.
 
The app also includes an admin interface (accessed by clicking the padlock on the first screen and entering the admin password “1234”) that allows hospital staff to control the app, including manually logging in patients and syncing records. All records are stored on the device's local database until the sync button is pressed.
