DaventryDaventry District Council Streamlines all Environmental Service Calls into a "One Stop Shop" as part of their Service Transformation Programme.

"Daventry District Council is in the process of implementing an integration programme to streamline all the environmental service calls into a "one-stop shop" as part of their service transformation programme with the goal of saving both time and money.  The Business Transformation Team identified environmental services calls as an area of focus that might provide an opportunity to improve efficiency, generate savings and provide a fast return-on-investment. During their initial investigations they looked at individual APIs but found this was a cost prohibitive way to proceed. However, they were under considerable pressure to save money and reduce the administrative burden as well as meeting important national reporting standards, and as a result had to look for an alternative approach.

awiSX, from NDL, offered the perfect solution as they were able to maintain and extend the investment in the back-office application whilst fronting the service requests in a simple manner using Lagan CRM.  Using awiSX allowed Daventry District Council to maintain the use of the back-office application for the core functionality and national reporting standards that Northgate M3 offered without re-creating this functionality in the CRM."

Lagan LogoMoray Council Embarks on a Major Business Transformation Programme.

Moray Council has become the 17th Scottish council to adopt Lagan's Enterprise Case Management (ECM) and the first to also include the awi corporate mobile working solution supplied by Lagan's integration partner NDL.

The NDL "Mobile Working Survey" is about to be published!

Efficiency gains and service improvements are the key benefits of mobile working, according to a survey conducted by NDL in conjunction with Public Sector Forums in October & November 2009. The Mobile Working Report highlights the greater return-on-investment if mobile projects are run and managed at a corporate level, rather than through point-to-point solutions. The survey also shows that the vast majority of local authorities across the UK are starting to benefit from the reduced costs, increased efficiency and faster processing times that mobile working delivers. However take up - and the subsequent benefits - are predicted to grow dramatically over the next three years.

jigsawThe New and Improved awiSX Version 4 is now available!

awi SX Version 4 has a new look and feel  which makes the tools quicker, easier and more intuitive to use.  A host of new features around profiling allow for controls to be identified at a glance and power profiling removes much of the repetitiveness of the task.  New views give you a much better understanding of the composition of your applications and profiles. A standalone workbench gives better workspace management and provides efficiency improvements. There is also a more visual approach to web (HTML) application profiling. In addition a consolidated Console provides for configuration, monitoring, auditing and tracing all in one place which is now SQL based allowing for easy central administrator access and control.  Finally, there are a whole host of new methods available, providing better performance and greater flexibility.
