Transforming service delivery to the people of Rochdale

Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council teamed with ICT provider Agilisys to transform the delivery of its environmental services. Rochdale chose Microsoft Windows devices as part of a flexible mobile way of working and awiMX from NDL to integrate the contact centre with the field staff. awiMX was selected as it offered a flexible easy to use  platform that Rochdale could use to develop applications that automatically integrated with the back office. This means that Rochdale can provide real-time updates to customers, something they could never do before.
AgilisysWithin the first year of deployment, Rochdale Council is on track to save £1.2 million......

Stroud District Council  Improves Services Through More Efficient Integrated Technology Solutions

Stroud District Council, like all local authorities, faces reduced funding while still having to introduce efficiencies. It initially used awi, NDL's integration server technology, to transfer microfiche images to its central document management system. It then realised that awi would be a powerful tool to use elsewhere, and would enable its experienced in-house team to develop cost-effective solutions for integrating disparate systems. Now a number of services across the authority are starting to benefit.

mobileThe NDL Integration and CRM report 2010 is underway!

The biggest and most authoritative survey within the Local Government  is once again underway. Last year's survey demonstrated that despite
budget cuts "the drive for continuous improvement, innovation and excellence is alive and well in local government". We need your help to complete this year's survey - only ten minutes of your time will help us identify the challenges and drivers facing local authorities as they move through 2010 and into 2011.

If you would like to take part in this survey or to pre-register for a copy of the report please email survey@ndl.co.uk

 Event News:

The holiday season is almost upon us but NDL are still busy with events and seminars:

Further to the resounding success of our first health seminar in June, which was oversubscribed and extremely well received by the delegates, we are running (in conjunction with NHS Rotherham) a second half day health seminar on the 13th of July. If you would like to attend or require further information please click here.

NDL are also attending the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Event on the 15th of July, "Mobile Working: Increasing efficiency through Flexible working" (London) where we will be showcasing our mobile working product awiMX and examples of real life case studies where this technology has been successfully implemented.

On the 21st of July Public Sector Forums are hosting an event entitled  "Government Goes Mobile: Efficient & Effective Service Delivery in the Economic Downturn" at the City of Manchester Stadium. With budget cuts and efficiency savings continuing to be the key priorities of the current Government's Agenda, Local Government find themselves in the position of having to deliver a great deal more with a great deal less. This seminar will include case studies that have identified a business case for both departmental and corporate mobile working that will stand up to scrutiny and deliver a number of quantifiable benefits. You will also receive a complimentary copy of the Mobile Working report produced by NDL, PSF and Public Sector Nomads.
