NDL Community Summit 2025
We are pleased to announce the NDL Community Summit 2025 will take place at the Priory Rooms in Birmingham on the 8th and 9th of July 2025. This will replace our annual TechFest event and has a key objective of boosting collaboration across the NDL community.

Join colleagues and peers from across the NDL Community to:
- Share experiences and applications.
- Collaborate to solve common problems.
- Learn from and support each other.
- See the latest product innovations, including Evolve II - the future of digital transformation.
- Discover the growing range of NDL & Evolve resources available to support your organisation
- Get hands-on with the latest tools at our 'tech labs'.
- Hear about and contribute to the Evolve roadmap for 2026 and beyond.
This year, we’ll be running a series of engaging sessions across the two-day event, from customer case studies to hands-on tech labs; there is something for everyone at Community Summit. See below for an overview of the sessions and book your tickets today for the NDL Community event of the year.
AI in the real world - A practical look at AI and its implications. See how Evolve is bringing aggregated AI to the real world and how it can be deployed in local government and care settings, with community members showcasing examples of its use.
Customer case study sessions - Community members from health and local government will be sharing their experiences and explaining the opportunities, challenges, and outcomes of their digital transformation projects.
Hands-on tech labs - For those wanting an up-close and personal look at all the latest innovations in the Evolve Platform, the hands-on tech labs are your opportunity to do just that. If you want to experience building an AI solution or workflow, this is your chance, and you don’t have to be technical to do it. Just bring your laptop and sign up on the day.
Round table sessions - Collaborate with colleagues in our round table sessions, discussing the most important services that need to be integrated into local government and health environments, whether it's simple APIs or the latest advances in AI. Then you can join our ‘process-hack’ session to determine the most replicable end-to-end AI service which can be shared by community members.
Making governance work for you - Data governance and security are key. In this customer-led panel session, we’ll share information about DTAC and DPIAs - what they are, when and where they apply, what the differences and implications are between a medical device and an assistive technology, and how to simplify the process of completing them. We will also look at how Evolve can help improve data quality and reduce risk. We’ll examine Smartcards and working with RA, and share experiences of NHS England’s virtual smartcard programme.
Networking - Community Summit is about making connections, sharing experiences, even templates, helping each other to achieve the best possible outcomes and reducing the time to get solutions live. Plenty of time has been set aside to meet sector colleagues, including a dedicated networking session on day two.
Into the future - In this session, you’ll learn about the supporting services becoming available in 2025 and hear updates on releases and the future roadmap for Evolve into 2026 and beyond.
