AI Meeting Transcription, Summation & Integration
Within the public sector, meetings with service users, patients, and clinicians are often recorded for follow-up purposes, statutory reasons, or to maintain professional standards. The purpose of the meetings could be for social care, mental health, and HR, for example, but regardless of the type of meeting, it needs to be recorded by written notes.
The issue is that clinicians, social workers, and council workers aren’t able to dedicate their full attention to meetings if they are focused on notetaking, which can negatively impact the meeting and its purpose. Other concerns are that notes aren’t taken correctly, and vital information is missing or doesn’t make sense when viewed after the meeting, or the notes are too long and need condensing, or they don’t align with organisational criteria. Altogether, it seems to be a slow and inefficient method of recording and actioning meetings, meaning the end service user is not accessing the help they need as quickly as possible.

By using NDL’s Evolve Digital Transformation Platform to amalgamate a range of cloud and AI services, it is now possible to:
- Collect meeting notes via voice recordings on or offline using mobile devices
- Provide audit trails, secure storage and transmission facilities for authorised users
- Produce a full text transcription of the meeting
- Identify participants and their conversations
- Handle multi-lingual content, providing in-line translation
