For every daily issue we face — be it checking the local weather or booking a train journey — there’s an app for that!

Delivery of council services via an app is part of the digital strategy of many public sector organisations. More and more local authorities are exploring the benefits of digital tools and mobile apps are quickly becoming a platform for civic engagement, making interaction with your local council even easier!

In addition, clinicians in the NHS are benefitting from mobilising their processes, meaning they have more time to care for their patients. Taking the apps directly to the patients in their own home allows them to take control of many healthcare issues.

Supporting this move to engaging with citizens via mobile apps, NDL Software Ltd today announced the launch of their mobile working toolkit designed specifically for creating apps for use by the public – MX Public Store Edition. Abiding by its core principles, MX (PSE) will allow an organisation to create an app to suit their business processes for use on any device type, running on any operating system and made available on the various app stores for citizen access in the usual way. MX (PSE) is delivered through Microsoft’s trusted Azure cloud platform via the Azure Marketplace, scalability is built in, and you only need to pay for what is actually used, when it is used.
