Royal Borough of Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster: Mobile apps to improve service delivery

As part of its ongoing digital strategy, The Royal Borough of Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster is increasing efficiency and improving service delivery through the use of innovative mobile apps.

Join us at Kensington Town Hall to discover how officers across planning and environmental services have removed the need to return to the office to rekey information and are now able to carry out more visits and inspections using intuitive mobile apps.
At this seminar, you will:
  • Find out how council officers are utilising mobile technology to capture data in a more accurate and reliable way, removing the need to rekey information
  • See how RBKC & Westminster Council are driving environmental control through their 'Code of Construction Practice' mobile app
  • Understand the challenges of creating mobile apps, from development to 'go live', avoiding potential pitfalls and internal challenges
  • Understand the benefits of cross-platform, native apps that meet the needs of a disparate, council-wide workforce
  • Hear the secrets for creating compelling, user-centric mobile apps
  • Understand how RBKC planned a successful and quick project timeline
  • Discuss alternatives to costly APIs
You will see, first hand, the apps that have been created and have the opportunity to discuss the benefits and challenges with teams from RBKC, other councils and NDL’s Digital Strategy Managers

"Having chosen NDL's technology our team created a sandbox environment to create mobile apps, leading to a phased implementation approach with the first apps being for pest control, market inspectors and planning. Although we've experienced some challenges along the way, the outcomes have met the needs of each of the service areas - to be more efficient."
