Welcome to the Autumn Issue of the NDL Community Newsletter.

As we embrace the new ‘normal’, the team are advocating, more so than ever, the NDL mission to support your growth and success with our software platforms. We bring this issue to you as a reflection on the last 6-months, sharing some important changes, exciting initiatives, and guidance on how our customers are implementing digital innovations in their approach to COVID-19.

NDL Product update and more from our busy Professional Services Team

In our focused efforts to bring the best our technology can offer to you, the development team at NDL have been busier than ever, and it's our pleasure to tell you that our SX, MX & FX products will receive updates between now and the end of 2020!

Here are the details;

SX 6.2 is due for release in the next month and will be a ‘major’ release, including a complete UI refresh and various new features.

MX 10.7 is due for release later this year and will include new Vision Edition features such as improved camera controls, video recording, more reliable comms and push notifications.

FX 1.5 is due for release later this year and will include various new features to enhance the development of forms for both ‘beginner’ and ‘expert’ developers – this is currently in QA testing for release very soon.

Our Professional Services Team have been busier than ever and have been supporting a range of public sector customers to accelerate their projects. The team have been engaging with our community to develop;

Great News Stories - Information in a crisis

At NDL, we enjoy nothing more than sharing the success stories of our customers from across the public sector. Dedicated in supporting Local Government, Healthcare and Housing with their project needs, we also encourage you, as peers, to share your applications and experiences with each other to minimise the effort and maximise the savings that you can make.

The agility and dynamism of our NDL Community never fails to amaze and inspire us at NDL. Recently, we have been thrilled to hear about how your licenses have been helping at recent and ongoing times where it matters the most. One story that has really hit the industry headlines is that of Birmingham Community NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) and how the Trust is using eForms to bolster its COVID-19 response, whilst saving countless hours with FX, our quick and easy eForm builder.

      BCHC's rapid mobilisation of a COVID-19 Contingency Planning Hub has allowed the Trust to:                                                                                                                                                                                 
  • Develop a Trust-wide system of eForm's and dashboards to track capacity and redeploy staff where needed
  • Appropriately equip staff with PPE, keeping them safe at all times
  • Track staff infections, individuals at risk and those who need to quarantine
  • Conduct staff risk assessments and recovery plans
  • Make executive and management decisions through the analysis of visual dashboard indicators

NDL Community events go 100% digital with the NDL Online Initiative

The team at NDL have reimagined the way we can safely connect with you, our community. As part of our wider NDL Inspire initiative, we are delivering a series of  product focused webinars throughout the remainder of 2020, where our team will share product roadmap insights, practical know-how and success stories from Healthcare, Local Government and Housing. 

Our initiative kicked-off at the beginning of July, and so far we have delivered seven webinars, with no signs of stopping for the remainder of 2020. Our online series continues, with a dedication to MX, our mobile app platform for the month of September.

On the topic of online events...

Back in June, we kicked-off our NDL Community Online initiative with the NDL 2020 Community Update. We were joined by over 100 members of our customer community for our online Summer Update, in lieu of our previously planned Tech Fest, where we 
shared inspiring stories of digital transformation, exciting new product releases and roadmap visions, and provided advice on the resources available to you. If you missed it, you can watch the webinar here.

The NDL Community Awards 2020 nomination process is now OPEN


Earlier this month we were thrilled to open the nominations for our NDL Community Awards 2020. We at NDL are extremely proud of the achievements generated by our Public Sector colleagues through the use of our technologies, and we want to celebrate their success! 

By submitting an application, you are in for a chance of winning a trophy, £500 contribution to your chosen charity, in addition to publicity about your project and finally, the rights to use the winners logo.

Virtual training where it suits you with the NDL Training Academy 

In alignment with Public Health guidelines, we are now delivering all of our training courses via online methods. We are very pleased to announce that with the flexibility that remote working provides; we are bringing more courses to you than ever before!
