Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust: Transformation in Health & Social Care

Another bronze category winner, the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust impressed judges with its ground-breaking Learning from Deaths project. Nominated for the Transformation in Health and Social Care category, the Trust was recognised for its work in response to unexpected death statistics. Revolutionising its mortality review process from start to finish, it’s innovative and fully integrated eForm dashboard manages the now digital process throughout all internal and external touchpoints – leading to a wide range of impactful benefits, such as improved data visibility, quality, and auditing.

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust: Innovation

Also winning bronze in its nominated category, West Suffolk NHS Trust celebrated its pioneering use of NDL’s mobile application platform – revolutionising its clinical photography and ophthalmology data capture with handheld devices. Created in response to previous system inconsistencies and challenges posed by SD cards and traditional cameras, the new application allows clinicians to capture images, add notes and submit directly into the Trusts EPR – all in one place. Processing over 6,000 clinical photography appointments annually, while improving its CQC rating, the Trust was recognised in the Innovation category for this patient-focussed project.
