Evolve Project of the Year 2024

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust won the "Evolve Project of the Year" for their development aimed at replacing outdated Diabetes and Podiatry systems with modern, integrated solutions while retaining all historical data. The project established new methods of patient identification and data display, enhancing data feeds with integration into local shared records, retinal data, acute clinical systems, and their EPR. This facilitated access from any relevant in-house clinical system, reduced environmental impact, and provided clinicians with comprehensive data in new formats. The initiative improved patient experience, care quality, and appointment efficiency, and aimed to reduce medical costs by enabling earlier interventions.

Driving Value Award 2024

Princess Alexandra Hospital won the "Driving Value Award" for its broad and outstanding digital transformation efforts. As a clear winner, they recently delivered their 23rd digital automation project powered by the entire Evolve product set, with plans to double this number within the year. The team's growth from 3 to 12 members reflects their commitment and success, with each project recording an impressive ROI approaching £1 million annually. This remarkable achievement underscores their innovative approach and significant impact on operational efficiency and service delivery.

Community Collaboration Award 2024

Shared Resource Services (SRS) Wales won the "Community Collaboration Award" for their innovative starters and leavers process. Partnering with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, Torfaen County Borough Council, Monmouthshire County Council, and Newport City Council, SRS - with support from the NDL Delivery Team - created a standardised process for processing new starters and leavers. This allowed Active Directory profiles to be amended efficiently with a combination of robotic process automation (RPA) and workflow. The collaboration resulted in a streamlined, uniform process across all partners, showcasing exemplary teamwork and technological integration.

Innovation Award 2024

Birmingham Community NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) won the "Innovation Award" for its comprehensive digitisation of its child immunisation process. The project involved creating a mobile app for clinicians to record vaccinations, e-consent eForms for guardians, and an in-house portal for scheduling clinics. This innovation improved data accuracy, saved time, and streamlined processes, leading to over 23,000 e-consent submissions and 20,000 vaccinations since January 2024. By leveraging NDL Digitise technology, BCHC significantly enhanced service delivery, demonstrating substantial impact and efficiency, aligning with its goal of achieving high immunisation coverage among children.
