The NDL Autumn 2024 newsletter has arrived!
It’s been a busy few months and we are fast approaching the year's end. With lots of exciting events and projects on the horizon, we are already looking forward to what's in store for 2025.
But first, let's sit back, take five, and reflect on what’s been happening here at NDL and in the NDL community.
The NDL team have been out and about at industry events over the last few months, and it has been great to see so many of you at HETT, SOCITM and the NHS Skills Network. Not forgetting that we caught up with most of the NDL Community at our annual TechFest event that was held in Birmingham, in the Summer – plans are already in motion to make TechFest 2025 bigger and better!
We have even more planned in the programme for 2025 and look forward to seeing the NDL Community at various events throughout the year.
Look what events we’ve got coming up over the next few months…
22nd - 30th January
Coming to a venue near you, this in person event is your opportunity to see all the latest innovations and find out about the roadmap for 2025 - and how you can get the very most from it. It’s also a great opportunity to check in with your NDL Community peers and be inspired by all the fantastic projects being delivered across the public sector.
This is a series of online events where customers showcase their projects, all of which are highly replicable for you to carry out within your own organisations.
We will be running these events until the end of 2024 and across 2025.

Why is upgrading important?
We have all seen the chaos that can come as a result of software dependencies not being tested during operating system upgrades. We therefore urge you to stay current with the latest releases and updates (within -1 of the version number is our recommendation) and we are happy to help you plan, test and implement product upgrades to ensure you are getting the very best out of the features and functionality.
We are delighted to announce that after a rigorous selection process, NDL has been selected as a G-Cloud 14 supplier.
We have taken this opportunity to introduce our new Evolve Packages that allow customers to build fully end to end digital transformation processes in one go.
We are keen that all customers have the opportunity to reap the benefits of Evolve and are providing a licence upgrade path for those with projects that can benefit from the extra power that the full Evolve platform offers. Reach out to your account manager for more information and to discuss your options.
The commencement of G-Cloud 14 also means that G-Cloud 13 is withdrawn for new projects.
We have 4 new Digital Transformation Consultants on-hand to help you with your digital journey. Tommy Garland, James Garrett-Campbell, Hamid Jalloh, and Emily Goldberg joined us over the summer and are getting out on the road meeting customers, attending events, and getting involved with some projects.
Paul Bond has also been appointed as the head of a new quality team, bringing together documentation, education and help desk services to deliver a better customer experience. The better the training and documentation, the easier for customers and the fewer the calls.
Finally, many of you will have already met or spoken to Owen Rayne over the years, but we are pleased to announce that he has recently moved into the role of Customer Project Manager and will be overseeing the smooth running of all your projects.
